6. The traditions of domestic non-Orthodox churches have made them a separate sociopeoples that is not trusted by the unchurched. This causes what Perspectives calls a "canyon". This canyon is caused by legalism which usually forces women to not wear make-up or pants but to wear a head-scarf, does not permit them to speak or teach, does not permit people to go to weddings or other social occasions because of the presence of alcohol and dancing, and other restrictions. There is much resistance to Protestant evangelism because it is feared that the usually Western-based effort will cause division in the Church and individualism which will undermine the fabric of the village's society.
